About the event
Even if you have a good handle on your own life, sometimes interesting questions arise. Why New Year's Resolutions Fail? Why is it not possible to tackle a task on time? Why do you keep saying “yes” to an obligation when you mean “no”? Why do you sit at the table with the boring invitation, although you could do many nicer things? Why do you get upset when you want to stay calm? Why don't people do what they want and what is the key to motivation? These questions are among the most exciting topics currently being dealt with in psychology. They relate to the topics of self-management and coaching. The answers make successful dealings with people and oneself possible in the first place. Motivation is a crucial component for the sustainable implementation of projects. The lecture gives an introduction to the current psychology of motivation based on the latest neuroscientific findings on human learning and action. The knowledge and findings of the two-system theories form an important basis here - the distinction between an explicit and an implicit system. Another basis and theory of the unit is the Zurich Resource Model (ZRM), which was developed 30 years ago at the Pedagogical Institute of the University of Zurich. An important part of the ZRM is a newly developed target type, the so-called motto targets. Motto goals are a type of goal that is formed at the attitude level and increases motivation, goal commitment and self-efficacy, among other things. Motto goals can be formed in the sense of self-management on all topics of human life
